Day 1 (Tue, March 30, 2010)
. There are still talks about standardization in Geoweb. esp. in area of virtual reality, Augmented Reality, and stuffs like that.
. More push to application
. More talks about embedded geodata to mainstream application
. developer, mainly about iPhone & Andriod / C vs Java.
. google pushes to local search and local business listing
. some API update on mobile applications
. blah blah blah

. Attended tech track from wikitude and OpenGeo. showcasing their standard & API on AR. Good future.
.. Acceessable mostly mobile phone.
.. one of the main issues about AR application is battery power, esp. camera, GPS, & network (GSM/3-4G/Wifi) are working at the same time, this limit the usage. Not to blame the programmers. Also the limitation in in door navigation, accuracy etc.
.. What trigger me, is why not focus AR on street navigation devices with bluetooth connectivity to GSM/3G/WIFI networks?
. Huge gaming potential..
. AR creating more layers
. Serious engineering freternities will come once accuracy issues solved, which very much on hardware sides.
. Until than this is very much visual discovery.
